The Blues confirmed the signing of Emegha in September, whilst the 22-year-old will spend the remainder of the season at Strasbourg.

Fabrizio Romano provides Chelsea Emmanuel Emegha update
Emegha scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 last season as Strasbourg qualified for the Conference League, and is the club captain.
The 22-year-old made his Dutch debut in the November international break, and at 6ft 5″ adds another unique profile to Chelsea’s attacking options.

You would imagine Emegha will go straight into the first team squad and compete with Liam Delap and Joao Pedro for minutes, and Romano has provided a small update.

“Emmanuel Emegha’s contract at Chelsea from 2026 will run for the next seven years.
“Plan already clear for the striker who keeps shining at Strasbourg, leading the team in France and Europe, with next chapter at #CFC.”
The signing of Emegha rules out the small possibility of Nicolas Jackson returning to Chelsea next summer, with the Senegal international currently on loan at Bayern Munich.

With Emegha on his way in, it looks like Chelsea will have to find another club for Jackson in the summer, with Bayern reportedly unlikely to make his loan permanent.

Jackson reportedly needs to make 40 starts across all competitions to activate the £57m obligation to buy, and so far he’s made 14 appearances in all competitions.
The 24-year-old will likely have interest from the Premier League, and Chelsea will hope he plays enough over the remainder of the season to keep his value up and attract more suitors.
