Schuylkill Haven wasn’t able to claim a league title, but the Hurricanes did claim a District XI championship over Minersville with a 7-2 win, their first District XI championship since 2013.

The Hurricanes would advance out of the first round of the PIAA 1A Girls’ Soccer Championships with a 7-0 win over Holy Redeemer before falling to Muncy 2-1 in overtime in the quarterfinals.

This season’s MVP was an easy selection, it goes to Schuylkill Haven’s Taylor Haag, who was incredible offensively for the Hurricanes this season, totaling 37 goals and 12 assists while totaling a league high 86 points, nine points more than second-place finisher Maggie Hoffman-Long.

The goalkeeper of the year goes to Minersville’s Bella Rizzardi, who was tremendous in net all season long, allowing just 18 goals on 106 shots during the regular season, a save percentage of 85.5. She also recorded eight shutouts in the process.
