TS Galaxy head coach Adnan Beganovic has outlined his team's objectives in the Betway Premiership for the ongoing 2025/26 campaign.

The Rockets currently sit in sixth, having accumulated 19 points from 12 league outings, and are just six points off log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

With the season fast approaching the halfway mark, Beganovic, who took over the reins in November last year after Sead Ramovic's untimely exit, says Galaxy are targeting a top eight finish.

“Our goal this season is again a top eight spot. In half a season our goal is to reach 20 or more points, if we do that I think we can make our life easier for the second round [of the season] and we will have a better chance to stay between eight clubs,” he said.

Having managed to secure a top half berth for the past two seasons, the 42-year-old tactician believes they can repeat the feat this season, citing the quality of the squad at his disposal.

“I am so happy [about] how we play, what we do on the field, how we present our game model, that is very important for us. Sometimes we win or lose a game but mostly if you play well, if you run, if you understand tactically - results can come later or before,” Beganovic added.

"But mostly you need to have quality if you want to reach goals. I think this team has quality, has the strength to do good things again to be between eight clubs in the league. It will be tough yes, it's a tough job but we fight everyday, every week, and every game.

Galaxy return to Betway Premiership action with a visit to fellow top eight-chasers Polokwane City at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday (18h00).
