The No. 1-ranked Buckeyes are attempting to end a six-year drought and four-year losing skid against their arch rival, 15th ranked Wolverines. After a slow start for Ohio State, which included a turnover from quarterback Julian Sayin, a 36-yard scamper from running back Bo Jackson led to a goal to go sequence for the Buckeyes.

Cowherd sent a harsh warning on 'X' (formerly Twitter) shortly following Sayin's turnover. Although brief, it could be a huge warning sign if the Buckeyes ultimately play themselves out of the title game next Saturday in Indianapolis.

"Ohio State is tight," Cowherd wrote. "Again. Michigan is in their head. Again. At some point the Buckeyes may need team therapy to break through this."

A false start penalty on the Buckeyes deep in Michigan territory, forcing the Buckeyes to settle for a field goal.

The stakes for the game are simple: should the Buckeyes win to clinch an undefeated season, they would advance to their first title game since 2020. If the Wolverines were to stun the defending champions, it would open the door for an Oregon Ducks win in Seattle later in the day to replace the Buckeyes would-be spot. If the Ducks lose, the Wolverines would slide in at 10-2.

There is still plenty of football left, but it would be an understatement to call the game chippy.
