It sure feels like ages since the Buffalo Bills last played a football game. After a tough loss against the NFL’s best defense, Buffalo is certainly ready to put their Thursday Night Football setback to bed for good while focusing a must-win road game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 13.
With quite a bit of time between the Bills’ last game it’s possible that Bills Mafia feel a little bit different about the team than they did right after things unfolded. In our latest poll to find out how Rumblers feel about Buffalo’s direction under current leadership, confidence hit its previous low again — with just 12% of folks confident the Bills are headed in the right direction.

With so many people concerned about the defense, it’s still important to note that of Buffalo’s four losses to this point, just one saw the defense give up 30 points. Meanwhile in those same four games, the offense failed to score more than 20 points. Most recently against the Houston Texans, running back James Cook III accounted for the Bills’ only offensive touchdown.
That’s not going to cut it the rest of the season, at least not if the Bills hope to play on Super Wild Card Weekend in January. There’s still a little bit of time to get things right, and it’s possible Buffalo could peak at just the right time. With quarterback Josh Allen in command, anything remains possible.
I neglected to share the season-long graph last week, so here it is below with the latest figures. Can you tell which week the Bills defeated the Chiefs?
What about Steelers fans? Well, if you didn’t see the spoiler I gave away in a reply to zen_bills the other day, things aren’t better a few hours south of Buffalo, NY. In the most recent poll with Behind The Steel Curtain, just 10% of fans are confident Pittsburgh is headed in the right direction.
In national polls, the Week 13 picks from SB Nation Reacts voters saw the Buffalo Bills as the popular pick to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers. Will the Bills improve to 8-4 while trying to gain any bit of ground possible on the New England Patriots? We’ll find out later today!
