Happy Sunday Husky fans. After a tough loss yesterday to the Ducks the coaching staff’s attention now turns to the early signing period which starts on Wednesday. Heading into the early signing period the Huskies hosted one official visitor, 4 star defensive lineman JD Hill, who committed to UW on the 20th of November. Hill, who has shot up the rankings, was a massive pickup for the Huskies who are trying to improve their depth and talent level along the defensive line.

While the Huskies only hosted one official visitor heading into the early signing period they also had several unofficial visitors on campus for yesterday’s game. The headliner, of the uncommitted players who were on campus was 4 star wide receiver Jordan Clay from San Antonio Madison HS, TX. Clay, who is is rated as the 17th best wideout in the 2026 class by 247sports, is currently committed to Baylor but the Huskies have made a lot of progress with him. So much so that they not only hosted him for an official visit but also got him to come back for an unofficial this weekend. Listed at 6’3” and around 200 pounds, Clay is a bigger wideout who can easily make a push for early playing time next year for the Dawgs if they can flip him heading into signing day.

The Huskies also were able to bring in a surprise visitor in 4 star wide receiver Corey Barber from Clay Chalkville HS, a 4 star wide receiver who is currently committed to Ole Miss. Barber, who has been committed to Ole Miss since May, is likely checking out some options in the likely event that Lane Kiffin leaves Ole Miss. Barber, who is rated as the 20th best wide receiver in the 2026 class, is an explosive wide receiver who can take a short slant to the house. The Huskies are trying to add some more dynamic playmakers to their offense, and if they can add players like Clay and Barber it would make the Husky offense even more dynamic.

The Huskies also saw several of their top commitments head to campus for the rivalry game. Among those that made the visit were 5 star offensive tackle Kodi Greene, 4 star safety Gavin Day, 4 star cornerback Jeron jones, and 4 star wide receiver Mason James.

Heading into the early signing period the Huskies have done a very good job of recruiting this cycle and if they can close on a couple of additional players like Clay or Barber and add 3 star linebacker Ramzak Fruean from Bethel HS, WA who visited in October the class will go from very good to excellent (Fruean is set to decide between BYU and UW). The Huskies are hoping to flip 3 star tight end Kekua Aumua from Kahuku HS, HI after hosting him in October. Aumua visited Auburn this weekend, but it sounds like his preference would be to stay closer to home and if that’s the case the Huskies have an excellent shot to flip him from his current Florida commitment.
