After getting a 10-point win over Texas A&M and special performance from Tre Wisner, the Texas Longhorns have jumped two spots in the newest US LBM Coaches Poll. UT rises from No. 16 to No. 14 in the latest ranking.

Texas passed Utah and Michigan in the rankings, following the Wolverines loss to Ohio State and Utah getting a win over Kansas. The Longhorns sit as the top 3-loss team in the country, which makes sense, considering their three top 12 wins, according to this poll.

Texas played their best game of the season on Friday, finding an elite run game for the first time this season and suffocating a top-tier offense in Texas A&M. A rather disappointing season ended the best possible way, ruining the Aggies perfect season and trip to Atlanta, not to mention knocking the Aggies down four spots in this poll.

Texas CFP hopes are effectively gone after Saturday’s results, meaning the Longhorns are just waiting for the bowl assignment.

The SEC lands eight teams in this week's Top 25. The Big Ten has five ranked teams. The ACC has five teams in the ranking, while the Big 12 fields three. There are three Group of Five teams ranked, including North Texas at No. 22.
