Following a one-game absence, Aaron Rodgers will return against the Buffalo Bills in Week 13, but there appears to be a gameplan that accounts for the wrist fracture and how the Pittsburgh Steelers will utilize their quarterback.
According to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, the Steelers plan to have Rodgers take snaps out of gun and pistol over having him line up under center, to minimize any pain the 41-year-old quarterback might be dealing with. He also added that the brace we've seen Rodgers use throughout practice will also be utilized during the contest.
Back in Week 11, Rodgers fractured his left wrist after being driven to the ground by a trio of Bengals defenders at the end of the first half. Rudolph took over the remainder of the game and started for Pittsburgh in Week 12, but clearly the Steelers preferred Rodgers leading the offense — even if he's limited to gun and pistol against Buffalo.
