Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams can seemingly make any play on the football field. The 2024 No. 1 overall pick, who is in his first year with head coach Ben Johnson, has improved in a number of areas this season, even if the stats don't always show it.

Through 12 games, Williams has completed 58.1% of his passes, throwing 2,722 yards, 17 touchdowns, and five interceptions. His yards per game have increased, while his sack totals have decreased. But one thing that has remained the same from his rookie year? His low turnover rate.

Williams has thrown just 11 interceptions across two seasons, which is 20th out of 24 quarterbacks who have started at least 20 games over the last two seasons. But he now leads the league when it comes to avoiding multi-interception games.

Using data via Stathead, Williams has gone 26 consecutive games without throwing multiple interceptions. He is tied with Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts for the league lead. Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford previously had the longest streak with 27 games before tossing multiple picks against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

The last time Williams threw multiple interceptions in a game was Week 3 of the 2024 season when the Bears lost 21-16 to the Indianapolis Colts. Since then, he has had a handful of games with one pick, but that's it. Williams also shattered the Bears record earlier this year, which used to belong to Steve Fuller (18 games).

Williams has yet to hit his ceiling and still has some things to clean up as he develops, but being a gunslinger quarterback and keeping the ball out of harm's way is impressive. We'll see how far he can take this streak, though it feels unlikely he will match the likes of Aaron Rodgers (41) and Drew Brees (46) from their 2010s days.
