The Los Angeles Lakers should feel great about their chances of picking up their 15th win of the year on Sunday night vs. the New Orleans Pelicans.

New Orleans has lost 17 of its first 20 games, fired its coach well before the All-Star break, and dealt with various injuries in the early going, all pointing to a dominant Lakers win.

That said, Los Angeles may be forced to compete without its 21-time All-Star forward, LeBron James.

According to the Lakers’ official injury report, James is questionable for the franchise’s upcoming Western Conference clash due to left foot injury management.

James, who was a no-show for the Lakers’ first 14 games of the season due to sciatica, has handled his demotion to the Lakers’ tertiary playmaker well. James has made all the right reads and resisted the urge to unnecessarily take matters into his own hands with Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves rolling, resulting in four straight wins with the 40-year-old back in the lineup.

For the season, James is averaging 16.5 points, 8.3 assists, and 5.0 rebounds per game while shooting 49.1% from the field and 33.3% from three-point range.

Even if James is unable to play vs. the Pelicans on Sunday, the Lakers shouldn’t have a problem taking care of business from start to finish.
