Lennart Karl shares his thoughts on training with Bayern Munich superstars

Lennart Karl is only 17 years old but he is making himself known as a baller at the highest level. He was perhaps the only player to walk away with his head held high in Bayern’s 3-1 defeat against Arsenal, scoring a superb goal. Karl has been delightful whenever he has stepped on the pitch, even assuming leadership.

As per @iMiaSanMia, Karl was asked “How much does daily training with star players help you to develop?” He mentioned two wingers, one of whom was sorely missed against Arsenal: “I learn a lot from my attacking teammates, especially regarding the movements of Michael Olise and Luis Díaz.” However, he also knows that learning is not enough: “Of course, you can observe them, but you also have to showcase your own strengths.”

Karl credited his coach with his development: “Working with a coach like Vincent Kompany naturally makes me better every day.” As Karl has developed, he has become more relaxed as well: “”Within the team, I didn’t talk much during the first month or two, but now it’s quite normal for me to chat with my teammates off the pitch as well”.
