Juliano Belletti’s side took the lead through Rodriguez in the 61st minute. The winger fired home from just inside the penalty area to give his side the lead.
Barcelona Atletic had to wait until stoppage time to seal the win when Álvaro Cortés made the game safe from the penalty spot.

“As always, we try to improve what we do. This victory is important because we stepped outside our usual style of play. We adapted to what the match demanded, given the state of the pitch and against an opponent that played very well defensively,” he told reporters.
“I always watch the opponent’s matches and adjust my training schedule for the week. I’ve tried to maintain the dynamic in midfield.Fariñas played very well, Guille gets into the box well, and Dani is a winger who can break through and create depth, which is how we got our first goal.”
The win means Barca Atletic sit second in the table after 13 games played, one point behind leaders UD Poblense.
