Celia Daniels heads to confront April Windsor’s family (Picture: ITV)
April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) finally reaches breaking point in Emmerdale this week, as she confesses what she’s been through to dad Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock).
For the majority of this year, April has been dealing drugs for Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths).
In an attempt to pay off more of her debt, April decided to accept different jobs from Ray. These involved interacting with older and abusive men, who had made it clear they were sexually attracted to her.
During one of these meetings, April defended herself against Callum by hitting him over the head with a bottle. Callum began bleeding immediately after, and April ran away believing that he was dead.
Ray and Celia dealt with the situation after, but have failed to tell April that Callum is actually alive.
April has endured a great deal of trauma (Picture: ITV)
Keeping this a secret, amid the trauma she’s already experienced, has left April a very vulnerable young woman. In upcoming episodes, she heads to the bus stop ahead of her next job, but gets caught by Marlon.
It’s during this moment that April confesses her secrets, changing the course of this storyline completely.
What Marlon and Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) perhaps won’t realise at first is that going to the police to tell them about Celia and Ray won’t automatically stop their nightmare from being over.
Star Jaye Griffiths, who plays Celia, recently explained what will happen next to Marlon’s family.
‘What that means, is that she will have to explain to them in no uncertain terms, what their new reality is. April will have brought this upon her own family, this is her doing. Celia warned her what would happen, and now this is going to happen.

‘Celia doesn’t make empty threats. She just states realities and consequences, and the consequence of this is, now I own your family.;
‘April is now becoming a liability’, she sighed.
‘She is taking up too many resources, too much time in Celia’s head, she has to keep sorting out her rubbish and it’s getting monotonous. To be honest, it’s getting to the point where Celia wonders if April really is worth the effort.
‘This latest is just a nightmare of logistics for Celia. April is getting down to one or two more chances left.’
Alongside this, Celia and Ray are also busy trying to find the rat among their team. Unbeknownst to them, Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) called the police a couple of days ago to tell them that drugs were being moved through the depot.
Dylan is smarter than Ray and Celia believe (Picture: ITV)
He did this because he was deeply worried about April, and knew she’d get a break from the dealing if Ray and Celia discovered that the police were sniffing around.
‘Celia has a fondness for Dylan because he reminds her of Ray’, Jaye said.
‘There is something so still about Fred, the way he plays him, that is always very attractive. Celia has a soft spot for him and she’s prepared to overlook some gut instinct that he’s not all as he seems.’

It’s going to be a dramatic week for a number of characters involved in this plot. As if Celia doesn’t have enough to deal with where April is concerned, she will also learn that Ted is actually Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards), and therefore Paddy Kirk’s (Dominic Brunt) father.
