Pisa 0-2 Inter Milan – Nerazzurri Return To Winning Ways Despite Disjointed Performance

Scudetto contenders Inter Milan squeezed past survival fighters Pisa in Sunday’s lopsided Serie A showdown.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri pulled off a scrappy 2-0 win at the Arena Garibaldi.

Though it was a textbook definition of a ‘mismatch,’ Inter had to work their socks off to beat Alberto Gilardino’s side.

In addition to failing to break down Pisa’s defense for over 60 minutes, the visitors were lucky not to concede the opening goal.

Indeed, Pisa wasted several clear-cut chances, including M’Bala Nzola’s miss early in the second half.

Cristian Chivu’s side struggled against Gilardino’s well-organized backline.

However, Lautaro Martinez provided a much-needed breakthrough in the 69th minute.

Indeed, El Toro struck home a thumping left-footed finish to put the Nerazzurri in front.

Meanwhile, Francesco Pio Esposito chipped in with his maiden assist in Serie A.

Then, the Argentine striker sealed the deal in the 83rd minute, tapping in Nicolo Barella’s cross at the back post.
