In more ways than one, FSU’s loss to Florida felt like a retread:
With no bowl game and no immediate fixes on the horizon for Florida State, it’s about to be a long offseason:
Basketball
FSU women’s basketball made a program-record 19 three-point shots in Sunday’s loss to No. 9 Oklahoma:
A rain of three-point shots, with at least five in three different quarters, saw the Seminoles set a new program record for threes in a single game after going 19-of-41 from distance against the Sooners. This bests the previous program record of 18 set against Miami on Jan. 1, 2025. It also marks the most three-pointers Florida State has made against a top 10 opponent in program history, previously putting up 12 against No. 1/1 UConn on Nov. 9.
Five different Seminoles scored in double figures as senior guard Jasmine Shavers managed her second 20-point game of the season, leading the team with 24 points. Senior guard Sydney Bowles followed with 18 after going 6-of-9 from distance, while junior guard Emma Risch scored a season-high 16 points with four threes made. Bowles tied her career high with six threes made.
Florida State will return to host Georgia in the ACC/SEC Challenge on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. The game will air on ESPNU at 5 p.m.
Soccer
FSU soccer will face off against TCU for a spot in the national championship:
Jordynn Dudley has been named a finalist for Top Drawer Soccer’s Player of the Year Award:
A First Team All-ACC selection for a third consecutive year in 2025, Dudley has also been named to the Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List this season and was the ACC Offensive Player of the Week on October 28. In her career, Dudley is a two-time All-American and two-time Hermann Trophy Semifinalist, in 2023 and 2024. She was named the TDS and ACC Freshman of the Year in 2023 and is a two-time ACC All-Tournament Team awardee (2023 and 2024).
Through 19 games, Dudley leads the team with 13 assists, 31 points and 67 shots, while she is second with nine goals and 26 shots on goal and tied for third with two game-winning goals. In the regular season, she had at least a point in 13 consecutive games, with a goal in seven of those contests and at least two points nine times. Dudley ranks No. 3 nationally and No. 1 in the ACC in assists per game (0.68), No. 5/2 in total assists (13) and No. 22/8 in points per game (1.63). She also was in the top eight in the league in shots per game (3.53, sixth) and total points (31, eighth).
In conference play, Dudley led the ACC in assists (9) and shots (46), was second in points (23) and tied for fourth in goals (7). A five-point game (two goals, one assist) in a 3-2 win at No. 3 Virginia on October 23 was third-best in a league game in 2025 and earned her ACC Player of the Week honors. Dudley was one of two players with multi-goal ACC games and one of two with five multi-point performances.

FSU volleyball fell to Clemson in its regular-season finale:
AdvertisementAdvertisementSet one was a back-and-forth affair, but the Tigers were able to create some separation with a 19-16 lead. The Noles stormed right back as a service error, a kill from Nellie Stevenson and a block by Nenu Kpea and Kyleene Filimaua tied the set at 19 forcing a Clemson timeout. The timeout did not stop the momentum as the Noles scored the next three points and eventually took the first set 25-21.
The Tigers responded by taking set two thanks to a 7-1 run in the middle of the set. The Tigers went on to win the set 25-17.
The Tigers jumped out early again in set three and built a 21-15 lead, but the Noles continued to fight back as they went on a 5-2 run themselves but couldn’t pull off the comeback.
Clemson once again built an early lead in set four at 16-10 and eventually 20-13, but FSU scored five straight to cut the lead to two at 20-18. That was as close as the Noles got as Clemson closed out the set to take the match.
Filimaua was terrific as she recorded her 13th double double of the season with 20 kills and 10 digs. Filimaua ends the season with 443 kills, the eighth most in FSU history in the rally scoring era and the most kills in a single season since Payton Caffrey in 2018. Filimaua also finishes ninth in school history with 4.35 points per set.
Filimaua’s counterpart, Iane Henke, ended her final match with the Garnet and Gold with a bang. Henke recorded a double double as well with 17 kills and 12 digs. Henke put together one of the best seasons in school history as she will finish third all-time in FSU history in kills per set (4.43) and second all-time in FSU history in points per set (5.10).
Senior Nellie Stevenson and Lily Nicholson each had 40 assists while Nicholson picked up a double double with 10 digs.
