L.A. Rams News: Don’t believe the hype (for now)Story byDanny StoneMon, December 1, 2025 at 1:05 PM UTC·4 min read

The Los Angeles Rams were expected to come out of Week 13 as big winners over the Carolina Panthers, and in doing that, the Rams were supposed to hold onto their top spot in the NFC, but don’t believe the hype (for now). What happened instead is, the Rams lost, the Chicago Bears hold the title as the best team in the NFC, and now it will be a long week until the Rams get back in the win column.

For Rams fans, don’t give up on this team yet, they were 9-2 and are now 9-3, things could be worse, and this team still has the rest of the season, including a potentially great playoff run ahead of them, but this loss should remind them that winning doesn’t happen on accident, and it doesn’t happen because all the talking heads label you the “best team” after nine wins.

As always, the Rams have a lot of work to do, and fans should expect the Rams to do just that: Get back to work.

Thanks for checking out Turf Show Times, hope you had a great holiday! No victory Monday today, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be a victory Monday next week. Stay tuned.

Game Recap: Rams’ six-game win streak snapped with 31-28 road loss to Panthers (therams.com)

“CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Rams (9-3) fell to the Panthers 31-28 on Sunday at Bank of America Stadium.

Untimely turnovers, one offensive possession in the third quarter, and an uncharacteristic performance by Los Angeles’ defense both had a hand in the loss.

Reaching the Carolina 22 trailing 31-28 with 2:34 remaining in the fourth quarter, Los Angeles lost the ball after quarterback Matthew Stafford was strip-sacked and Carolina (7-6) recovered, returning the fumble 20 yards to its own 49. However, an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty against Carolina’s sideline moved the ball back 15 yards to their own 34.“

Kyren Williams gives update on ankle injury after loss to Panthers (ramswire)

“Kyren Williams left Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers in the second quarter after suffering an ankle injury in the red zone. He was taken to the locker room before halftime but after the break, he was back on the field for the Rams’ opening drive.

Williams remained in the game and continued to split time with Blake Corum the rest of the day, which was a good sign for his status moving forward. After the Rams’ 31-28 loss, Williams shared an update with reporters in the locker room and said he’ll be good to go for next week against the Cardinals.“

Lane Kiffin accepts HC position at LSU, will not coach Ole Miss in College Football Playoff (nfl.com)

“The move, disclosed by Kiffin on social media, comes two days after No. 6 Mississippi’s 39-19 victory over Mississippi State in the rivals’ annual Egg Bowl game that all but guaranteed the Rebels a playoff berth.

“I was hoping to complete a historic six season run with this year’s team by leading Ole Miss through the playoffs, capitalizing on the team’s incredible success and their commitment to finish strong,” Kiffin wrote, adding that he would maintained “guardrails in place to protect the program in any areas of concern.”

Random Ramsdom Fandom:

“JMHO, but I think all the “best team in the league” hype is detrimental. Maybe the Rams started reading their own press and let it get in their head. The Panthers were hungry and needed this win badly to make it to the playoffs. I don’t think there’s gonna be a wild card team out of their division, so winning the division is everything for them. The rain obviously played a part in how the game progressed, but the Panthers were playing in the rain too. Also, not forcing any turnovers AND allowing the opposing team to be successful on every single 4th down attempt is not gonna get it done. McVay may be right about this being a blessing. Once you forget what it feels like to lose, you start thinking you can’t lose, and then you get sloppy.“ -The_rob_matrix
