After Sunday's overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Indianapolis Colts have dropped a few spots in the latest ESPN Week 13 NFL power rankings.
A week ago at this time, the Colts were No. 4 on this list, and it wasn't all that long ago that Indianapolis held the top spot. But now with a record of 8-3, the Colts currently sit at No. 6 on these rankings.

The Colts held a 20-9 lead over the Chiefs at the start of the fourth quarter, however, the offense would go silent.
On Indianapolis' three fourth-quarter possessions, they ran a total of nine plays, going three-and-out on each drive. On those nine plays, the Colts ran the ball only once.
It was tough sledding in the run game all day for Jonathan Taylor, but becoming pass-heavy against an aggressive and blitz-centric defense like the Chiefs can be a tough way to live as well. Not to mention that a run or two would have eaten up some of the clock.

The Colts won the turnover battle, but they were penalized 11 times, while the Chiefs controlled the time of possession, holding the ball for 17 more minutes than Indianapolis. The Chiefs would run 91 plays to just 50 for the Colts.
For Indianapolis, that discrepancy is not easy to overcome.
Up next for the Colts is a matchup with Houston, which are now 6-5 on the season and at No. 16 in ESPN's rankings.
