Nikola Jokic got off to a slow start to the 2025-26 season, by his standards.

While the three-time MVP was a rebounding and passing machine in October (he snagged 14.4 rebounds and 10.8 assists per game), he was on pace to average his lowest point total since the 2019-20 season (he contributed 20.4 points per game during the first month of the current campaign and 19.9 points in 2019-20).

However, Jokic has elevated his scoring since then, as he’s now pouring in 28.9 points per game with the 14-5 Nuggets.

Following his 26-point and 10-assist outing vs. the Phoenix Suns on Saturday, Jokic made history that the NBA has never seen.

“Nikola Jokic passes Wilt Chamberlain for the most games ever with 25 points/10 assists on 100% field goal shooting,” Real Sports stated on X/Twitter.

There’s genuinely nothing Jokic can’t do on the hardwood. Whether executing wizard-like dimes to cutting teammates, using his brute strength to overpower defenders on the low post, or wreaking havoc in pick-and-pop situations, the 30-year-old has everything an organization could ask for in a franchise player.

While the Nuggets will have their hands full in the Western Conference yet again (especially with the 20-1 Oklahoma City Thunder), the 2023 NBA champions should never be counted out with Jokic orchestrating the franchise’s offense.
