Yesterday morning, Jim Bowden, warmly referred to around these parts as Ralph, went on his radio show on Sirius XM and talked about J.T. Realmuto.
I find it interesting that this isn’t the first time Realmuto has been connected with a deal that is only two years in length. One would probably assume that he would want to cash in on a longer term contract, so maybe this is his idea of trying to get more teams involved in the bidding.

What if teams were really only interested in him on a one year deal? Teams might be thinking about getting him for one year before seeing what the next CBA looks like to see if they want to pay a catcher of his age. If it’s true that he only wants two years, my bet is that he gets signed first before Kyle Schwarber does.
