LSU football got a huge win on the recruiting trail ahead of national signing day. Richard Anderson shut down his recruitment and intends to sign with the Tigers, Rivals' Sam Spiegelman reported Sunday.
The five-star defensive lineman was one of the Tigers' first commits during the 2026 cycle. Following the news of Lane Kiffin taking the head coach job at LSU, Anderson made it clear that he would honor the commitment he made in June 2024.

Rivals' Industry Rankings lists him as the top defensive lineman in the 2026 class, No. 2 out of Louisiana and No. 24 overall. At six-foot-three and 350 pounds, he could make an immediate impact as an early enrollee in the spring.
LSU built the 2026 class on homegrown talent. Anderson is one of 10 commits from Louisiana in a group of 15 players. The class currently ranks No. 11 overall and No. 6 in the SEC.
