Preston North End boss Paul Heckingbottom has been charged by the FA with misconduct following their Championship fixture against Watford in November.

The Lilywhites were held to a draw at Vicarage Road after Mamadou Doumbia cancelled out Daniel Jebbison's opener.

It is alleged Heckingbottom "acted in an improper manner and/or used abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official" during the pre-match briefing.

Heckingbottom has until Wednesday to provide a response.
