LSU Tigers head coach Lane Kiffin is already beginning recruiting work ahead of National Signing Day, and he has been pegged to pull off a significant commitment flip.
Kiffin was the head coach at Ole Miss throughout the season, and considering how the team was performing, he looked secure in Oxford, especially since the Rebels had become a powerhouse under his leadership.

After prominent jobs at Florida and then LSU opened up, Kiffin was immediately rumored to be both schools' top choice. Eventually, Florida moved aside, and the race was between the incumbent Ole Miss and LSU.
On Sunday, he decided to join LSU despite Ole Miss being in the College Football Playoffs, shaking up the college football world and rejuvenating a Tigers program that had fallen on tough times, considering their lofty standards.
...Kiffin is already working to assemble staff at LSU and has begun recruiting for his new team, reaching out to players and getting a feel for where they stand.

One of those players, according to Rivals recruiting reporter Greg Smith, is four-star tight end JC Anderson, who has committed to Ole Miss, but he has not signed yet. Smith has predicted that Anderson will end up going to Baton Rouge.
"Sources indicate that Anderson, Kiffin and the LSU staff had a great initial conversation late last night," Smith wrote in his story for Rivals.
"All signs point to Co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Jox Cox being on Kiffin’s staff at LSU. Same goes for Charlie Weis Jr. Both of which played huge roles in Anderson committing to Ole Miss."
Anderson is the No. 273 prospect in the nation according to Rivals' ranking system, placing 11th in terms of the tight end position.
Kiffin is already one of the most disliked sports figures in Mississippi for leaving the Rebels.
If he managed to take a commitment away from his former school, the rivalry between LSU and Ole Miss, and the growing tension between the Rebels' faithful and Kiffin, would become all the more interesting to follow.
