North Texas GM Raj Murti working on behalf of Oklahoma State football recruiting

STILLWATER — Raj Murti, a 24-year-old rising star in the new era of college football, has begun working on behalf of Oklahoma State football under newly hired coach Eric Morris, The Oklahoman has learned.

Given Murti’s meteoric rise in the profession, he was instantly rumored as a candidate to come with Morris as a key figure in Oklahoma State’s future front office after spending the last eight months as North Texas’ general manager. Murti has already been in contact with recruits on behalf of the Cowboys, sources told The Oklahoman.

Other members of Morris' player personnel staff have contacted prospects as well.

Murti joined Morris’ staff as general manager in April. Prior to that, he spent one season in the player personnel department at TCU. Originally from Arlington, Texas, Murti began his career as a recruiting intern for Dana Holgorsen at Houston, where Murti was a student.

Over five years there, he received multiple promotions, and by the end of his tenure, he was the primary contact and evaluator of all offensive recruits from high school, junior-college or the transfer portal.

Two OSU prospects announced decommitments from OSU on Sunday night. Tight end Bryton Niu of Lehi, Utah, and Berryhill offensive lineman Aiden Martin announced their decisions on social media.

Martin initially referenced a conversation with the new staff suggesting he reopen his recruitment, but later deleted the post.

Without Niu and Martin, OSU has six committed players in the 2026 recruiting class ahead of the early signing period, which opens Wednesday.
