How Acquired

Ethan Workinger was a non-drafted free agent signed by the Braves in 2020.

What Were Expectations?

After posting a .561 OPS for Double-A Mississippi in 2024, there were not any expectations for Ethan heading into the 2025 season.2025 Results

Ethan was a key starter for the Columbus Clingstones, appearing in 120 games. He had his ups and downs but on the season Ethan ultimately hit .224/.299/.385 with a team high 16 homers. Ethan had a solid 8.7% walk rate, and fantastic 18% strike out rate, especially considering his power. What Went Right? There were stretches of the season where Ethan would carry the Clingstones himself offensively. His 16 homers were a team high, while his 19 doubles were third highest.

What Went Wrong?

Ultimately what did Ethan in was his inconsistency in putting the ball in play. He suffered from some bad luck, seen by his .246 BABIP, but his pull heavy approach made him sometimes a victim at a plate for weak contact. 2026 Outlook

Ethan likely starts the season once again at Double-A Columbus unless the Braves fail to bring in more outfield depth for Gwinnett.
