QB Brock Purdy passes Colin Kaepernick in passing TDs with 49ers

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy was faced with a tough task on Sunday, as he was expected to lead his offense against one of the most feared pass rushers of the generation in a windy game against the Cleveland Browns at Huntington Bank Field.

Purdy didn't have his best game, but he did lead the team to a 26-8 win while completing 55.2% of his passes for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns (one through the air and one on the ground).

The touchdown pass, a seven-yard strike to Jauan Jennings, broke a tie between Purdy and Colin Kaepernick, moving Purdy into sole possession of the ninth-most passing touchdowns in 49ers history with 73.

With Alex Smith (81) and Jimmy Garoppolo (82) in his sights, he could be seventh by the end of the year.
