One of the top offensive threats on the Spartans' roster will reportedly enter the transfer portal.
Michigan State wide receiver Nick Marsh is reportedly planning on entering the transfer portal, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3. This report Fawcett comes through Marsh's agent.
Marsh was a former four-star prospect from River Rogue, Mich. and has been arguably the Spartans' most talented wide receiver the past two seasons. In his two years at Michigan State, Marsh recorded 100 receptions for 1,311 yards and nine touchdowns.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementMarsh will be a highly-coveted target in the portal, and it's ultimately not much of a surprise to see him enter the transfer portal following the coaching change at Michigan State. It'll be interesting to see if Marsh will look to remain in the Big Ten or look elsewhere -- similar to how former Spartans wide receiver Keon Coleman ended up at Florida State.
The transfer portal doesn't officially open until January 2, 2026 so there is still time for Marsh to change his mind and return to Michigan State. We will need to monitor his status over the next month to see if the Spartans can help convince him to return for his junior season in East Lansing, Mich.
