We are officially entering a new era in the NFL.

On Monday, the league released the first batch of voting results for the upcoming Pro Bowl, by position, along with a Top 10 of the overall fan favorites.

So, who is No. 1?

Patrick Mahomes? Travis Kelce? Lamar Jackson? Reigning MVP Josh Allen?

Nope, it is Monday Night Football's marquee quarterback, Drake Maye, who is vying for an MVP in only his second season as a pro. The leading man in New England, who has the Patriots sitting at 10-2 heading into tonight's game against the New York Giants, Maye has had a remarkable first season under the guidance of head coach Mike Vrabel.

Maye leads all players with over 31,000 votes following the first round of voting, 4,000 more than the second-place player.

In that runner-up spot is another new face in the Seattle Seahawks phenom, Jaxon Smith-Njigba. The northwest wideout has been nearly unstoppable this year, already having broken the franchise record for most receiving yards in a single season with a third of the campaign left.

Coming in third is not a new name but a superstar in a new place, with Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons. Since being traded by the Dallas Cowboys in the offseason, Parsons has made it a mission to show his former team what they gave up, wreaking havoc in every game he has played this season.

Closing out the top five are two running backs, both making their case for Offensive Player of the Year. In Indianapolis, Jonathan Taylor has been remarkable on a resurgent Colts team that is trying to make it back to the playoffs. A little north, Detroit's Jahmyr Gibbs is a lightning rod, making play after play for a Lions squad fighting tooth and nail in a rugged NFC North.

Here are the Top 10 vote getters after the opening round of fan voting:

  1. Drake May (Patriots QB) - 31,452

  2. Jaxon Smith-Njigba (Seahawks WR) - 27,162

  3. Micah Parsons (Packers DE) - 25,155

  4. Jonathan Taylor (Colts RB) - 25,134

  5. Jahmyr Gibbs (Lions RB) - 24,951

  7. Matthew Stafford (Rams QB) - 24,335

  8. Myles Garrett (Browns DE) - 23,831

  9. Josh Allen (Bills QB) - 23,238
