The New England Patriots defensive line will be short-handed on Monday night against the New York Giants. After already losing Milton Williams to injured reserve in November, the team also ruled out fellow defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga ahead of the prime time matchup.
Tonga, 29, suffered a chest injury against the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday. While he did practice in a limited capacity on both Wednesday and Saturday, he did not receive the green light for the Week 13 matchup. As a consequence, the Patriots will be down two of their three top interior defensive linemen; Christian Barmore is the only one out of the group available for a Giants team ranked third in the NFL in rushing attempts per game.

Patriots inactives
QB3 Tommy DeVito
TE C.J. Dippre
LG Jared Wilson
OT Marcus Bryant
DT Khyiris Tonga
ED Bradyn Swinson
S Brenden Schooler
The Patriots headed into Monday with two players already down for the game against the Giants. Starting left guard Jared Wilson and All-Pro special teamer Brenden Schooler were ruled out after both hurt their ankles during last week’s win over the Bengals and subsequently missed all three practices.
Joining them and Tonga on the inactives list are four healthy scratches, including rookie offensive tackle Marcus Bryant. With left tackle Will Campbell now on injured reserve because of a knee issue, the Patriots decided to use recent addition Thayer Munford Jr. as their OT3 behind the new starting pair of Vederian Lowe and Morgan Moses.

Giants inactives
QB3 Russell Wilson
WR Jalin Hyatt
OT James Hudson III
ED Kayvon Thibodeaux
ED Victor Dimukeje
LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles
CB Jarrick Bernard-Converse
Starting outside linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux was the only player the Giants had ruled out before their trip to Foxborough. He remains the most notable member on an inactives list also including former starting quarterback Russell Wilson.
Kickoff between the Patriots and Giants at Gillette Stadium is set for 8:15 p.m. ET.
