When Bralan Womack announced his pledge to Auburn back in August, the commitment was viewed by nearly everyone on the recruiting scene as a major win for Hugh Freeze in the Tigers.
Since that win, though, there haven't been too many others for Auburn.

According to 247Sports, the 5-foot-11.5, 195-pounder out of Hartfield Academy (Miss.) is the nation's top-ranked safety in the 2026 class. The site ranks him as the No. 39 overall prospect and the No. 2 player out of Mississippi.
Womack's decision comes just under a month after he took an official visit to Starkville. He returned to campus on November 28 for an unofficial visit to the Egg Bowl.
Prior to the season, Womack was selected to the ALL-USA Football Team Watchlist for the Southeast region. He proved the merit of that selection, tallying 26 tackles and an interception on defense while also catching 39 passes for 868 yards and six touchdowns.
Bulldogs get their 2026 centerpiece while Auburn continues to struggle
Jeff Lebby's 2026 class hadn't been much to write about before Womack's decision, but the in-state product gives them a leg up over other SEC programs that have struggled this cycle.

As for Auburn, it's just another massive blow in what's been an unforgettable year on the field and on the recruiting front.
Even before Womack's decision, the Tigers' class still barely ranked inside the top-40. Now that Womack is gone, they have only 12 pledges, and only one of those players, four-star linebacker Jaquez Wilkes, ranks as a top-100 prospect.
