Another key Detroit Lions starter is now lost for the remainder of the 2025 season. Cornerback Terrion Arnold is headed to the team's injured reserve list with a shoulder injury.
Arnold has battled through the injury throughout the season, while also missing time due to a concussion. The second-year CB was limited in the Thanksgiving loss to the Packers, playing well under his typical snap count. While there was no obvious incident of when he exacerbated the preexisting injury, Arnold will nonetheless be out for the rest of the season. Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reports that Arnold will have surgery this week.

As has been the case for most of the season, veteran Amik Robertson figures to fill in for an injured starter at cornerback. D.J. Reed missed several weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 4 before returning for the last two games.
With Arnold headed to injured reserve, that means the Lions' top three picks from the 2024 draft are all sidelined with injuries: Arnold, second-round CB Ennis Rakestraw, and fourth-round OT Giovanni Manu, who was acquired with a 2025 third-round pick in trade. Sixth-rounder Christian Mahogany, the Lions' starting left guard, is also on I.R. with a broken leg.
