I'm a big fan of Amazon Kindle devices, especially the full-color Kindle Colorsoft and the Kindle Scribe, which is the best writing tablet for folks who want to read as much as write. Other Kindle e-readers come bundled with accessories, but if you're going to splurge on extras, I'd recommend only the bundle for these two top Kindle tablets.

Both of these bundles are pricey, but they offer unique accessories that leverage the best features of these devices. These are the lowest prices I've seen for each bundle, though the Kindles on their own are also at all-time low prices for the current sales event.

The Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition comes with twice the storage inside and wireless charging on the back. That may not seem like the most useful feature for a Kindle - these e-readers last weeks on a single charge even if you read every day.

Having a wireless charging dock is a fancy way to show off your gallery of book covers, and the Kindle Colorsoft is the only Kindle that can display them in all full-color glory. Your Colorsoft becomes a bedside treat, removing the fuss of plugging in.

The Kindle Scribe 64GB (2024) Essentials Bundle comes with a jade green flip cover that matches the metallic green sheen of the Scribe itself.

You have to splurge on the 64GB model to get the delicious green color, so why not enjoy the whole pie and get the Essentials bundle with either the faux leather (my choice) or real leather cover? I love the Scribe's cover because it flips up and over the top, making the Scribe feel more like a legal pad than a gigantic magazine.

My favorite Kindle for reading and writing, the Kindle Scribe (2024) keeps getting better with more feature updates and more books added to the write-in section of the Amazon Kindle store devoted to Scribe-compatible books. This bundle is a worthwhile splurge, giving you a matching cover that flips over the top and holds the premium pen neatly, plus a wall charger. It's the lowest price I've seen on a Kindle Scribe - whether or not you buy the bundle. But get the bundle, it's totally worth it for the Scribe experience.

The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is the Kindle most people should buy. It is durable, with IP68 water resistance that can withstand even sand and a splash of salt water at the beach. I was able to read for hours a day for more than a week with a single battery charge, and listening to Audible audiobooks is also a joy. This is the lowest price I've ever seen on the latest Kindle Paperwhite, so don't hesitate if you want to read a lot of books on the go.

The Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition costs a bit more, but you get some interesting feature additions. There's wireless charging, which is especially convenient if you read a ton and just want to grab and go before and after bed. You'll need a charging stand, but any wireless charger works fine. You also get a bit more storage inside, so if you're an especially avid reader or you have a ton of audiobooks, this is the way to go. This is the lowest price ever on the Signature model Paperwhite.

Once you've seen the Kindle Colorsoft it's almost impossible to go back. The full color Kindle was a blast to read in my review time, and it has remained the Kindle I keep by my bedside. I love graphic novels, recipe books, and even just perusing my long Kindle library to see the full color covers. This is the first big price break on the new Kindle Colorsoft, and it's sitting at the lowest price I've seen since it launched around a year ago.

If you're going to splurge on color, you might as well go big. The Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition adds more storage inside as well as wireless charging, which is incredibly useful if you have a bedside charging dock. With a full charge, the Kindle Colorsoft Signature lasts more than a week even for avid readers, and up to a month if you only read a half hour a day, so wireless charging means you'll never, ever have to worry about battery life when you want to settle into a good book.
