Week 13 for the NFC West saw the division tighten — well for everyone not named the Arizona Cardinals. Because the Los Angeles Rams lost in Sunday and the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers both won, everyone except the Cardinals have nine wins.

The Cardinals have nine losses.

However, the standings did not change.

Let's have a look at the status of the division, the standings, what happened in Week 13 and what is coming up in Week 14.

NFC West standings in Week 14

  1. LA Rams, 9-3 (2-1 division, 4-3 conference)

  2. Seattle Seahawks, 9-3 (2-2 division, 5-3 conference)

  3. San Francisco 49ers, 9-4 (4-1 division, 8-2 conference)

  4. Arizona Cardinals, 3-9 (0-4 division, 3-6 conference)

The Rams hold a head-to-head tiebreaker over the Seahawks, so they get the first-place edge.

Week 13 results

Rams

The Rams had their six-game winning streak snapped on Sunday, getting beat 31-28 by the Carolina Panthers. Matthew Stafford, who had not thrown an interception since Week 3 and only had two all season, threw two and had one returned for a touchdown, while the defense couldn't stop Panthers quarterback Bryce Young. Young threw three touchdown passes.

Seahawks

Seattle dominated in a 26-0 shutout win over the Minnesota Vikings at home. The defense picked off Max Brosmer four times, with linebacker Ernest Jones returning one 85 yards for a touchdown, and Jason Myers kicked four field goals. The two teams combined for only 381 yards of offense.

49ers

The 49ers spoiled Shedeur Sanders' home start and held the Browns to only eight points in a 26-8 win.

Cardinals

The Cardinals lost their fourth straight game and ninth in 10 games. It was another close one, falling 20-17 on the road to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers despite outgaining them by over 100 yards offensively. They turned the ball over twice.
