A Chelsea player is playing so well out on loan right now that a sporting director says he wants to sign him permanently.
Of course, any final decision here will be down to Chelsea, and of course the player in question as well – so we will have to wait and see what happens with this one.

Either way, the fact that Aaron Anselmino is currently playing very well out on loan with Dortmund right now can and should only been seen as a very good thing for Chelsea, and all involved really.
He struggled with a big injury to begin with, but since then, the centre back has been superb for Dortmund and is in some very fine form.
Chelsea loaned him out in the summer to play in the Bundesliga this seasons. And whether they sell him permanently or he comes back in to the squad in the summer of 2026, they will either spin a tidy profit or have a better player come back in. It’s a win win really for Chelsea.

As reported by The Evening Standard this week, Dortmund are keen to make Anselmino’s loan move from Chelsea permanent, a club executive has revealed.
Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl said he was planning to open talks with Chelsea over the player’s permanent transfer in short order.
“I will have to pick up the phone in the next few days and will certainly call them, he said.
“We hope that Aarón will stay on, of course. We have a very good connection with Chelsea.”
