Should Mike Vrabel win Coach of the Year? Here's what Drake Maye said

FOXBOROUGH — When Mike Vrabel was named head coach of the New England Patriots, he made it clear that the rebuild was a marathon and not a sprint. But in just a short time, the head coach turned a back-to-back four-win team into a team with the best record in the NFL through 13 weeks.

And on Monday night, Vrabel and the Patriots earned their 10th straight win while also becoming the first team in the league to get 11 victories this season. It was a dominant performance, and while the fans showed a lot of love for Drake Maye with the continuous "MVP" chants, the quarterback was asked his thoughts on whether Vrabel is deserving of a particular award.

Of course, that happens to be the coveted Coach of the Year award.

"He's got my vote, and he's got a lot of people's vote," Maye told reporters after the game. "He's got everybody's vote in this organization and in that locker room, and I'm sure across the league."

The impact Vrabel has across the players and other coaches is clear, with everyone buying into the culture he has begun to build. And with that, he is never set on the team's performance, always finding ways in which they can be better. And the players feel the same way, with many saying that, while they just defeated the Giants by 18 points, they still haven't played their best football yet.

Vrabel has proven to be exactly what this team needed, and there's no denying that Maye feels the same way.
