Football season is over. We don’t have a lot of data points after one week of the high school boys’ basketball season but let’s get caught up with a refreshed look at the IndyStar Super 25 power poll, which considers teams from all parts of the state:

1: Fishers (2-0): The Tigers had a fight on their hands against Ben Davis, holding off the Giants for a 65-57 win. Jason Gardner Jr. had 23 points and three rebounds and Kai McGrew added 19 points and six blocked shots. The Tigers also defeated Tech 72-48. Another tough week ahead with Noblesville visiting Friday and a game against Luke Ertel and Mt. Vernon in the nightcap of the Sneakers for Santa Shootout at Brownsburg on Saturday. Previous: 1.

2: Crown Point (0-0): The Bulldogs open on Saturday at home against Penn and standout sophomore Caleb Coolman. Previous: 2.

3: Pike (2-1): Overall, a good week for the Red Devils. I watched the first game, an 86-58 win over Franklin Central as Jahari Miller went for 21 points, four rebounds and three assists and defeated Hamilton Southeastern 65-46 on a balanced night led by junior Isaiah Hill’s 13 points. Sandwiched between those wins was a 68-65 overtime loss to Wisconsin Lutheran, ranked No. 20 in the country by MaxPreps, in Illinois. Previous: 3.

4: Plainfield (2-0): One of the biggest wins of the early part of the season was Plainfield’s 60-53 victory over Noblesville. Harper Baker-Lands had 19 points and Noah Smith added 18 points and eight rebounds. The Quakers also defeated Avon 79-64. Plainfield hosts Mid-State Conference opponent Whiteland on Friday and will face New Albany on Saturday at the Sneakers for Santa Shootout at Brownsburg. Previous: 12.

5: Lawrence North (1-0): The Wildcats defeated Crispus Attucks 74-72 behind a big game from Brennan Miller, who finished with 30 points and 12 rebounds. Lawrence North plays Noblesville on Saturday at the Sneakers for Santa Shootout at Brownsburg. Previous: 5.

6: South Bend St. Joseph (0-0): The Huskies open at Chesterton on Friday, then play Cathedral on Saturday afternoon at the Sneakers for Santa event at Brownsburg. Previous: 6.

7: Mt. Vernon (2-0): The Marauders are beating all of the Lebanons around the country. Mt. Vernon beat Lebanon, Ohio, 63-37, then beat the Indiana version of Lebanon the following night, 60-37. Up next is Lebanon, Ill. Just kidding. Mt. Vernon plays Delta on Friday and has a big one vs. Fishers on Saturday night in the Sneakers for Santa Shootout at Brownsburg. Luke Ertel had 16 points and eight rebounds and 20 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in the two games. Previous: 7.

8: Noblesville (1-1): The Millers dropped a 60-53 decision to Plainfield in opener despite a 29-point night from Justin Curry. Noblesville rebounded with a 62-41 win over Hamilton Heights, though the Huskies led that game in the second half. Huge week ahead at Fishers on Friday and vs. Lawrence North on Saturday at the Sneakers for Santa at Brownsburg. Previous: 4.

9: Cathedral (1-0): Cathedral defeated Jeffersonville 76-63 as five players scored in double figures on 10-for-26 shooting from the 3-point line. The Irish host Brebeuf Jesuit on Friday and have another big game vs. South Bend St. Joseph on Saturday at the Sneakers for Santa Shootout. Previous: 8.

10: Silver Creek (1-0): The Dragons pummeled Floyd Central 67-35 in the season opener as Kasen Daeger led the way with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Silver Creek hosts Charlestown on Tuesday, then goes to Columbus North on Friday and Austin on Saturday. Previous: 9.

11: Westfield (1-0): The Shamrocks defeated Scecina 63-52 as Drew Haffner went for 20 points on 5-for-13 shooting from the 3-point line. Westfield hosts Pendleton Heights on Tuesday and Zionsville on Friday. Previous: 10.

12: New Albany (1-0): The Bulldogs defeated Bloomington South 75-57 on Monday night as Noah Washington went for 28 points. The Bulldogs host Evansville Harrison on Friday and play Plainfield on Saturday in the Sneakers for Santa Shootout. Previous: 13.

13: Lawrence Central (0-0): The Bears are at Franklin Central on Tuesday, then host Carmel on Friday. Previous: 14.

14: Carmel (1-0): The Greyhounds defeated Zionsville 35-28 as Cash Daniels led the way with 13 points. Up next is a trip to Lawrence Central on Friday. Previous: 25.

15: Zionsville (1-1): The Eagles make a big jump despite a loss 35-28 to Carmel. Zionsville bounced back with an impressive 53-48 win over Ben Davis. Preston Johnson went for 17 points and six rebounds in the win over the Giants. Previous: NR.

16: Hamilton Southeastern (0-1): The Royals lost 65-46 to Pike in the opener. HSE was just 3-for-21 from the 3-point line. Up next is at Avon on Friday and vs. Marion on Saturday. Previous: 16.

17: Ben Davis (0-2): Jashawn Ladd lit it up with 28 points in the 65-57 loss to Fishers in the opener. The Akron commit was 5-for-8 from the 3-point line. But the Giants then dropped a 53-48 game to Zionsville, which was a bit of a surprise. Previous: 11.

18: Chesterton (0-0): The Trojans had their opener vs. Elkhart postponed due to weather. Big game on Friday vs. South Bend St. Joseph. Previous: 18.

19: Northview (1-0): The Knights defeated Greencastle 83-61 to open the season as Brayden Goff went for 28 points on 5-for-10 shooting from the 3-point line. Previous: 20.

20: Jeffersonville (0-1): The Red Devils lost 75-62 to Cathedral in the season opener. Jeffersonville is off until Dec. 12 at Seymour. Previous: 19.

21: Roncalli (0-0): The Royals open this week on Friday at Guerin Catholic and vs. Shortridge on Saturday. Previous: 21.

22: South Bend Riley (1-0): The Wildcats opened with a 70-42 win over LaPorte as Isaiah Packer went for 18 points on 4-for-6 shooting from 3. Up next is Tindley on Saturday at home. Previous: 22.

23: Northridge (1-0): The Raiders defeated Elkhart 65-44 as Brady Scholl went for 27 points. Northridge hosted Westview on Monday night and will play at Culver Academy (Friday) and vs. Valparaiso (Saturday). Previous: 23.

24: North Central (1-0): The Panthers posted an impressive 68-61 overtime win over Brownsburg in the season opener. Up next is Crispus Attucks on Tuesday and at Tech on Friday. Previous: NR.

25: Brownsburg (1-1): Brownsburg lost 68-61 in overtime to North Central but bounced back with a 77-52 win over Bedford North Lawrence. Brownsburg is at Franklin Central on Friday and hosts Liberty Christian on Saturday in the Sneakers for Santa Shootout. Previous: 17.
