Last week, Franck Haise said he offered to be the “electroshock” after the 5-1 defeat to Olympique de Marseille. However, whilst he offered to step aside at OGC Nice, he did not tender his resignation. Speaking to the media over the weekend, he said that the decision was – in part – financial, given that he had only just recently signed an extension that runs until 2029.
But the facts have changed. Following Nice’s latest defeat, a 3-1 loss to Lorient on Sunday, the team bus was ambushed as it pulled into the training ground late at night. Terem Moffi and Jérémie Boga, in particular, were targeted by fans and, after receiving kicks and punches, will be on sick leave for around a week.

However, L’Équipe and Foot Mercato have stated that he is now considering resigning. RMC Sport go so far as to say that the former RC Lens manager has expressed a desire to resign, without compensation. The ball is now in the court of President Fabrice Bocquet and INEOS Sport CEO Jean-Claude Blanc.
