Niklas Süle expected to miss rest of 2025 as injury nightmare continues

Since early November, Niklas Süle has been sidelined by a persistent toe injury.

A quick recovery doesn’t seem likely, with Bild reporting that the injury is expected to keep the experienced centre-back out of action for the remainder of the year.

At one point, the German tabloid claims, Süle’s toe "swelled so badly that he couldn’t even fit his foot into his shoe."

The 30-year-old also missed time at the start of the season due to a muscular injury and has managed just three appearances for BVB so far this term.

With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, a summer departure appears very likely.
