Asencio back against Bilbao, Huijsen still out

Real Madrid defender Raúl Asencio will be available for the team’s away game in Bilbao against Athletic after missing Sunday’s match in Girona with an illness. Asencio has recovered in time for the game and could start if Xabi Alonso decides to make some rotations on his defensive line, with Rudiger and Militao just back from their own injuries as well.

On the other hand, Dean Huijsen is still out and will miss the game with the calf injury he picked up against Elche. While the injury isn’t expected to be that serious, Huijsen will try to recover in time for next week’s match against Manchester City in the Champions League.

Real Madrid desperately need to bounce back from their last results and the future of the entire project could be at stake over the next few games.
