Texas A&M (6-2) delivered a dominant performance on Friday to secure its sixth victory and will attempt to make it five consecutive wins when it goes on the road to face the Pittsburgh Panthers (5-3), who are coming off a victory over Ohio State.
The Aggies have been playing some of their best basketball in recent games. Through eight contests, the A&M ranks 12th in the nation in scoring offense. They are also tied for first in three-pointers attempted (255) and second in three-pointers made (97), at a 30.04% rate, which places them at No. 45 nationally. Leading the way for the Maroon & White is sophomore guard Ruben Dominguez, who has connected on 33-of-67 threes at an impressive 49.2%.

Since that remains a work in progress, they cannot afford to endure poor shooting nights in consecutive games if they want to keep their confidence up.
This matchup will mark the second meeting between the programs, with Pitt winning the only prior contest dating back to 1985. The Panthers, while not as dangerous a team as Florida State, do play solid defense, allowing just 66.5 points per game while scoring 71.5 points per game. Texas A&M will have another opportunity against a quality opponent to gain valuable experience as it inches closer to conference play.
