The New York Jets got back to some newly familiar feelings against the Atlanta Falcons: Winning.
The Jets (3-9) took a 27-24 final over the Falcons (4-8) in Week 13 at MetLife Stadium.
As the game rolled on, it was not a certainty that New York would pull it off. Some strong play down the stretch made the difference for the Jets.

What went right?
The connection between wide receiver AD Mitchell and quarterback Tyrod Taylor shined the most for the Jets offense. Mitchell had more production than every other wideout for New York combined with eight grabs, 102 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, the Jets were stellar late. Their efforts forced back-to-back, three-and-out drives in the fourth quarter. That gave the offense a chance to setup a chance for kicker Nick Folk... who needs no explanation.
What went wrong?
Aside from that late effort, the Jets struggled to slow the Falcons offense on the ground like many teams have this season. Atlanta's Bijan Robinson had 142 yards rushing and averaged 6.2 per carry. Quarterback Kirk Cousins wasn't bad, either.

What's the bottom line?
Any requests for the Jets to "tank" are pretty useless at this point. It's not happening and won't really make much of a difference with the team now up to three wins.
What's next?
The Jets face another AFC East team fresh off a win in Week 14... the Miami Dolphins (5-7). Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday.
