The 9-3 Chicago Bears have been one of the biggest surprise stories of the 2025-26 NFL season, winning nine of their last 10 games after an 0-2 start to vault atop the NFC North standings and into the No. 1 seed in the conference.
They have already surpassed Vegas oddsmakers' expectations this season, cruising over their preseason win total of 8.5 a few weeks ago. And after an impressive 24-15 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Black Friday, one bettor's big bet on Da Bears looks even more prudent.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementA bettor at BetMGM wagered $50,000 on the Bears at 66-1 odds earlier this season to win Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara this coming February. The bet would win $3.3 million, and is currently the largest reported Super Bowl futures bet by total liability at any legal sportsbook in the United States.
Oddsmakers aren't quite sold on the Bears' prospects yet, though.
The Bears have 30-1 Super Bowl odds at the moment — the seventh-best Super Bowl odds among teams in their conference. And despite being in first place in the NFC North, the Green Bay Packers (8-3-1) are the -140 favorites at BetMGM to win the division. Caleb Williams (18th in total QBR) has played much better in his sophomore season under new head coach Ben Johnson, but remains a long-shot to win MVP at 60-1 odds.

Chicago has the fifth-most difficult remaining strength of schedule remaining, so it will be interesting to see if the Bears can finish strong, win the division and host a playoff game. Working in their favor is the Packers have the second-toughest remaining SOS in the NFL.
Chicago has been good to bettors all season, going 8-4 against the spread, which is tied for the second-best mark behind the Seattle Seahawks at 9-3.
The Bears have -325 odds to make the postseason (implied probability of 76.5%) at the moment, so that's the first step for this bettor to cash.
It's a wager we'll be following closely throughout the season.
