New York Giants kicker Younghoe Koo explained his side of the story on his viral Monday Night Football whiff that reminded you of poor, poor Charlie Brown.
Koo completely missed the ball by prematurely kicking the turf during New York's Monday night road loss to the New England Patriots, costing his team three points.

“I was approaching the ball and, cold weather, the ball kind of slipped out at the bottom, so it was moving,” Koo said, per the New York Post. “I wasn’t able to kick through the ball. The ball was moving when I was driving to it, so I just pulled up on it.”
On a replay, you can see Giants punter Jamie Gillan bobble the snap a bit. The ball movement may have thrown Koo off his attempt, but he probably should have kept driving his leg and let the football fall where it may.
Pulling up on the kick probably wasn't the best idea in the rearview.
Alas; the Giants' 2025 season is already in the toilet, so they might as well let Koo try again next week to see if he can regain his elite play from his Atlanta Falcons heyday.
