The former wing of Sekhukhune United gets a new experience.

Tiklas Thutlwa joins a new team at Betway Premiership: What's the next step!

Tiklas Thutlwa has secured a new football home, joining newly promoted Motsepe Foundation Championship side Gomora United for the 2025/26 season, sources have exclusively confirmed to FARPost.

The 26-year-old winger had been a free agent since his departure from Sekhukhune United in July 2025. His journey to Gomora follows a challenging period; after signing with Sekhukhune in 2023 following Black Leopards' relegation, Thutlwa was loaned to Venda FC in early 2024 to seek more consistent game time. His stint at Venda was abruptly halted before it officially began, as he suffered a fractured leg during a pre-season friendly against Kaizer Chiefs.

Prior to that loan move, Thutlwa had made ten appearances in the top flight for Sekhukhune during the 2023/24 campaign. He has now finalised his move to Gomora United, having been observed integrating with the squad during their training sessions.

Gomora United earned their place in the second tier by winning the ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs in July, securing a 2-1 victory over The Bees FC at the Lucas Moripe Stadium. They will be joined in the Motsepe Foundation Championship by fellow playoff contestants The Bees, who finished as runners-up, and third-placed Midlands Wanderers from KwaZulu-Natal.
