Seahawks lead the NFL in this dominant, telling stat

The Seattle Seahawks claimed a dominant 26-0 shutout victory over the Minnesota Vikings in Sunday's Week 13 game. The final scoreline placed the Seahawks among the NFL's elite. Their +133 point differential is now the best in the entire league heading into Week 14.

The Seahawks are now tied for first place in the NFC West with the Los Angeles Rams at 9-3 apiece. The Rams suffered an upset defeat to the Carolina Panthers. They still sit atop the division due to the current tiebreaker, a victory over the Seahawks earlier this campaign.

The San Francisco 49ers are 9-4 and also contending for the NFC West division title. The 9-3 Chicago Bears currently own the No. 1 seed in the NFC and homefield advantage. If the Seahawks manage to win the division, it's within the realm of possibility that they'd possess homefield advantage, playing every NFC playoff game at Lumen Field.

Ironically enough, the Rams are second in point differential at +124. Sitting atop the entire NFL is the 11-2 New England Patriots, who are third in point differential at +110. The Seahawks are legitimate Super Bowl contenders this year, and their elite point differential proves it.
