It was alleged both sides failed to ensure their players/technical area staff did not behave in an improper way in the 42nd minute of the Championship game.

Blues striker Jay Stansfield, Tigers forward Joe Gelhardt and two members of coaching staff were shown yellow cards by referee Ruebyn Ricardo after a fracas which was sparked by two heavy challenges from either side near the halfway line.

Birmingham have been fined £115,000, with this their sixth breach of FA regulations regarding player behaviour since the start of last season, while Hull have been fined £25,000.

Hull City won the match 3-2 to inflict a first home league defeat on Birmingham since April 2024.
