Emeka Egbuka has looked like he is going to be one of the future weapons of the Bucs offense. The pick that shocked everyone in round one is looking like a homerun through four weeks of the season, as the former Ohio State Buckeye is among the league leaders in several categories.

But of course, there is always more to see besides what the box score and TV tell us. To get some added context, we can turn to Pro Football Focus for that.

PFF's Dalton Wasserman took a deep dive into the work of all 32 first-round draft picks who played in Week 13 this past weekend. PFF offers us some deeper insight into the performance, and Wasserman was able to lay out what Egbuka's work looked like.

Wasserman writes, "Egbuka reeled in four of his eight targets for 42 yards in Tampa Bay’s Week 13 win over the Cardinals. He forced two missed tackles and picked up one first down. Unfortunately, he dropped a pass for the fourth time in his past five games, which dragged down his PFF receiving grade to a modest 62.0. The Buccaneers will need Egbuka to recapture the deep receiving prowess he showed earlier this season if they want to improve on offense down the stretch."

Egbuka was guarded by fellow rookie Will Johnson in a rematch of their time at Ohio State and Michigan, respectively. Against him, he earned a grade that was lower than his season average of 69.5 by earning a 61.7. He has not played well in recent weeks, but he remains efficient in getting open for Baker Mayfield despite the production.
