WEST LAFAYETTE ― Nearly one year after many of Purdue volleyball's stars from a Sweet 16 team entered the transfer portal, the Boilermakers are celebrating a new cast racking up accolades.

After finishing third in the Big Ten, Purdue put five players on the all-conference team, including three first-team recipients, announced Tuesday on BTN.

Junior outside hitter Kenna Wollard was a unanimous first-team honoree after finishing second in the league in total kills (508). Wollard played on the right side last season. After the transfers of outside hitters Eva Hudson, named SEC Player of the Year with Kentucky, and Chloe Chicoine, an All-ACC first-team selection at Louisville, Wollard moved back to her natural position and became a six-rotation player.

Wollard is joined on the first team by junior setter Taylor Anderson, a second-team selection last season. Anderson led the Big Ten with 1,236 assists this season.

Grace Heaney missed the 2024 season after surgery for bicep reconstruction and a torn labrum. The right side hitter returned to average 3.19 kills per set while hitting at a .329 clip to earn first-team honors.

The Boilermakers begin postseason play Thursday, Dec. 4, where Purdue hosts first- and second-round matches in the NCAA Tournament. Purdue plays Wright State in the opening round at 7 p.m. Thursday following Baylor vs. Arkansas State.
