The Wolverines have their center of the future, as 2026 three-star offensive lineman Adrian Hamilton has flipped his commitment from Virginia Tech to Michigan.

The 6-foot-2.5, 290-pounder hails from Washington D.C. and plays high school football at St. John’s with fellow Michigan commit, three-star edge rusher Tariq Boney. Hamilton committed to Virginia Tech in July over other schools like Virginia, Pitt, West Virginia, Michigan State and others.

But everything changed when head coach Sherrone Moore offered him a scholarship to Michigan in early October. He took an official visit to Ann Arbor for The Game, and made his final decision shortly thereafter.

Despite playing left tackle in high school, Hamilton projects to the center position at Michigan. Fellow three-star commit Bear McWhorter will slot in at one of the guard spots, while four-stars Marky Walbridge and Malakai Lee, as well as three-star Tommy Fraumann, will play tackle.

Hamilton is the No. 3 player from D.C., the No. 55 interior offensive lineman and No. 657 overall recruit in the 2026 class on 247Sports’ composite. You can check out some of his senior year highlights below.
