It's been a rough for Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo.

The first-year play caller for the Birds has been under fire for much of the season due to inconstant play by much of the offense, despite the team's 8-4 record following their Super Bowl 59 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

From uneven play along with offensive line, social media angst about his role from wide receiver A.J. Brown, a lackluster year from star running back Saquon Barkley and now recent substandard play from quarterback Jalen Hurts — most of the blame has fallen at the feet of Patullo.

Who is Kevin Patullo

Patullo was hired as the new Eagles offensive coordinator in the offseason following the departure of Kellen Moore, who left to become the head coach of the New Orleans Saints after one season running the Birds offense.

Before being promoted, Patullo served as the Eagles passing game coordinator after being hired by head coach Nick Sirianni in January 2021.

Prior to coming to Philadelphia, Patullo worked with Sirianni with the Indianapolis Colts where he served as pass game specialist and wide receivers coach.

He also spent a short stint in college football with Texas A&M after spending two seasons as quarterback coach for the New York Jets.

Patullo also had offensive coaching roles with the Chiefs, Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans after beginning his coaching career in college with South Florida and Arizona.

Where is Kevin Patullo from?

Patullo, 44, is from Hillsborough Township, New Jersey, and attended Western High School in Davie, Florida.

In college, he played quarterback and wide receiver at the University of South Florida.

What happened at Kevin Patullo's house?

Patullo's South Jersey home was vandalized early Nov. 29, less than a day after the Eagles’ 24-15 home-game loss to the Chicago Bears on Black Friday.

The incident, which occurred at around 2:50 a.m., took place at Patullo’s home in Moorestown.

A video on social media showed multiple people throwing objects at Patullo’s house while yelling insults and profanities.

An investigation is still ongoing and the identities of those involved remain unknown, police said.

Why are fans mad at Kevin Patullo?

Much like when the Eagles lost offensive coordinator Shane Steichen to the Colts following the Birds' Super Bowl 57 loss to the Chiefs, Hurts and the offense couldn't get in sync with then-newly hired play caller Brian Johnson.

Johnson was the team's quarterbacks coach prior to his promotion.

That year, the Eagles jumped out to a hot start but lost five of their last six games before getting throttled by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the playoffs.

Fans are beginning to see similarities between the two seasons after the Eagles lost to the Dallas Cowboys where they squandered a 21-0 lead before the embarrassing defeat to the Bears.

In both games, the offensive failed to put together long drives and committed numerous penalties.
