35’ – Iroegbunam lucky that the foul was given on Adam, he was beaten and the counter was on. Good spell of possession for the last couple of minutes for the Blues. Now Charly is barged in the back when on the ball and no foul given!

31’ – Garner keeps drifting back to the middle and leaving Ndiaye and KDH to handle the overload with Semenyo and Truffert. Very dangerous.

28’ – Bournemouth overload on the Everton right with Garner beaten, but they make a hash of it and the Blues can regain possession.

25’ – Adli fouls Grealish, freekick near the touchline. Blocked ball and Kluivert is setting off on a counter.. great pair of tackles from Myko to stop him and keep the ball in the Cherries half.

22’ – Iroegbunam in late on Semenyo and he goes into the book. That is his fifth booking, so he’s going to be suspended for the Nottingham Forest game on Saturday. If Keane isn’t fit then that could mean Dwight McNeil starting. Aways fans irate after a shoulder-to-shoulder by Charly is given as a foul for the home side. The long ball into the box is headed down to Semenyo, he fires a shot on goal and Pickford makes a good save. First shot on target tonight. VAR review for possible handball by JOB, ball came off his arm as he was jumping and VAR makes the sensible and correct decision on that.

20’ – This is a tiny ground so the Everton travelling support are very easy to hear, and they’ve been loud too.

17’ – Grealish very mobile tonight. He’s moving around a lot more, middle and right too. Think it’s something Moyes has told him to do, saw a bit of it against Newcastle too.Another freekick from the middle, cleared. Now Everton win a corner from the right. KDH will put in an inswinger, cleared, Garner chests it down on the edge of the box but Iroegbunam gets under it and puts it into Row Z.

13’ – Adli pulls back Grealish, freekick to Everton on the edge of the attacking third. Played to KDH, his low cross is poor and cleared. Myko with another long throw, JOB pulls it down and the Cherries hoof it away. Better cross from KDH on the left, cleared again. Everton keep the ball though and passing it around hemming the home side in.

10’ – Truffert leaves Garner for dead but his cross into the box is cleared. Everton can’t quite hold on to possession for long enough to create much as yet. Grealish and Jimenez are getting into each other’s faces now, ref has to separate them. Long throw into the box, ball falls to JOB to shoot, blocked.

8’ – Oooh, Garner and Tarky go up for the same ball and there’s a clash of heads. Both should be fine to continue after the physios come on.

7’ – Toffees’ first attack nets a long throw on the right. Grealish cuts in and finds Ndiaye, he lays the ball off for Garner to cross, blocked. JOB comes over for the throw, goalkick after it goes off Barry.

3’ – Everton have negotiated the first minute of the game without conceding so that’s a plus. Looks like O’Brien is on the left and Tarkowski stays on the right side. Dewsbury-Hall is on the left, Iroegbunam on the right and Alcaraz central in front of the pair.

1’ – Alcaraz gets us underway. Commentator immediately reminds us that the Blues are the Cherries’ favourite team to play against, having scored more goals and points against us than any other Premier League team.

Starting Lineups

Everton – Big news for the Blues and it’s bad. Their best defender this season Michael Keane will miss this game, presumably with an injury we didn’t know about. That means Tim Iroegbunam will keep his spot in the middle with Carlos Alcaraz also starting. Jake O’Brien will slot into the middle next to captain James Tarkowski and James Garner will revert to right back.

Bournemouth – With three suspensions, Iraola has had to shuffle things around.

Match Preview

Everton take on their bogey team Bournemouth today, with the Blues yet to solve Andoni Iraola since he took over the Cherries. The Blues inability to win at Vitality Stadium goes back a few more years than that actually, with Everton never having won away at Bournemouth in the Premier League since they were promoted in 2015.

David Moyes was quick to laud Newcastle for being a stronger side than Everton after their big 4-1 win over the Blues on Saturday despite the Magpies not having won a single game away from home this season until that point. He’s going to have to come up with a solid gameplan to keep the Cherries quiet as they are one of the better and quicker attacking teams in the league, spearheaded by lethal forwards Antoine Semenyo and Justin Kluivert.
